Useful But...

I really like this app for its timely updates and alerts, but certain issues persist.

While I get great timely alerts on my screen, whenever I swipe them in order to go straight into the app to get the rest of the information, the as soon as the app opens, a prompt appears saying, "Failed to download data. Please check your internet connection and try again." However, no amount of internet checking will make any difference because the problem is within the app itself.

Also, whenever using the app, there is quite a lag before you can actually open and read the update for whichever player you are interested in, regardless of whether you select the "News," "Top News" or "My News" tab. It takes quite some time for the alerts to populate, which is pretty annoying. However, once it is available, the information is terrific and timely.

One more thing I notice is that on the iPad, even though I have selected "MLB" as my favorite sport, this isnt at all helpful for doing searches, because the system always defaults to NFL regardless. So I have to manually change the tab to "MLB" for every player search I do - which is extremely annoying when I have a whole list of players I want to look up. So "favorite sport" is not helpful there.
